Naturopathic Physician
Dr. Miller graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ in 2006. Growing up in Chicago, she had never heard of Naturopathic Medicine. When she developed gut, seasonal allergies, and fatigue in her 20’s, she was disappointed in how her doctors treated her. It seemed that all they wanted to do was give her medications and send her on her way. She knew there was a better way.
After completing her BS in Psychology at Elmhurst College (now Elmhurst University), she went on to complete massage training from Wellness Massage Training Institute. It was in massage school that she learned of Naturopathic Medicine and knew right away that she had found what she was looking for. It was truly an Integrative approach to medicine that would get to the root causes. And she loved that it focused on prevention instead of waiting for everything to fall apart.
After she finished Naturopathic schooling, she returned to Chicago to be near family and start her own family. She has one daughter with her husband, David. While living back in Chicago, she worked for a Chiropractor and then for True Health Medical while teaching at NUHS (National University of Health Sciences) in Lombard, IL for over 8 years instructing Naturopathic and Chiropractic students. She returned to Tucson with her husband and teenage daughter in 2020.
Dr. Miller’s approach to medicine is break it down to the basics to figure out what is working and what is not. There are many factors that influence our health, which is what makes this individualized approach to health unique to each person. This Integrative approach allows the body to get back into balance and promote wellness. The most common health concerns that Dr. Miller treats are: Autoimmune conditions, gut/digestive issues, balancing hormones (menstrual dysfunction, perimenopause, postmenopausal), skin issues (eczema, acne, rosacea), diabetes, insulin resistance, fatigue, thyroid, weight management, and overall health and wellness.
